SRIA Activities
Giving You The Latest Information On Reinforced Concrete


The SRIA undertakes a wide range of activities around Australia. These are designed to give both industry professionals and the general public the latest developments in reinforced concrete construction.

The Institute utilises both a National Office based in Sydney and Branch Committees located in each State to offer you the level of service best suited to your needs.

SRIA activities include:

  • regular face-to-face contact with architects, engineers and builders

  • seminars and lectures on current issues at consultants' own offices

  • governmental lobbying on behalf of the building industry

  • research

  • linkage with associated industry organisations (eg Royal Australian Institute of Architects, Institution of Engineers, Australia, Cement & Concrete Association of Australia, Standards Australia)

  • seminars and lectures at universities and colleges of TAFE

  • annual student awards for architectural and engineering students

  • steel fixing and reinforcement scheduling courses

  • handling technical enquiries

  • drafting technical standards

  • regular news and publications


The SRIA mounts displays and presentations to government and industry
